In a month's time i am going on holiday and i expect my period to start the very first day. Is there any way of speeding up its arrival so it doesn't completely coincide with my vacation?

not that i am aware! sorry! there are ways to 'skip' you period whilst of birth control pills, however this is not a practice that should be undertaken each month.
With only a month leading up to your holiday even this suggestion would not work as regulating of your cycle could take a few months.
