Question: brown vaginal bleeding

I have been haveing brown vaginal bleeding for about 5 days. Im not sure what is going on my last period was march 23 2005. and now im having this brown discharge is it a sign of pregancy or do i have a infection. PLEASE HELP ME. :(

Are you menstrual cycles normally regular? If so, with the amount of time that has past since your last menstruation, I would suggest you take a pregnancy test. Brown vaginal discharge usually occurs when the products of menstruation aren't completely cleared during a menstrual cycle. This particular color indicates "old blood". In my opinion, it doesn't indicate an infection, and again, if your cycles are normally regular take a pregnancy test and call your physician for an evaluation.
