Question: weird discharge!

 gabesmom - Mon Jun 13, 2005 12:15 pm

Hello, i have had this weird discharge off and on for about a year and a half now. i don't have any std's nor do i have a yeast infection. but it is clear yellowish and the consistency of mucus or snot. (looks kind of like phlem) but i notice when i go to the bathroom sometimes and wipe it's present, and it like strings out. that sounds kind of gross, but i have no clue what could be wrong. usually it is worse if i am having a bowel movement then it is present. any ideas of what it could be?

User avatar More than likely if there is no unpleasant odor and it's only infrequently, it is normal thickened discharge produced at ovulation time, midway through your cycle. It is present for the couple of days you ovulate, then it becomes thinner again.

If you are having itching, burning, cramping or odor, see your GYN.
