Question: heavy bleeding

 caseygirl - Thu Oct 06, 2005 9:16 pm

I am breastfeeding my daughter and have not had a period since she was born 17 months ago. I am now having it and am going through a super tampon and pad every 1 to 2 hours. I have never had a period this heavy before. Is this normal?

User avatar Hi caseygirl,
Any menstrual flow that soaks through a pad or tampon every hour for several consecutive hours is abnormal and requires an evaluation by your physician.
Sincerely,
Rntdj
