Question: YEAST INFECTION MEDS & PREGNANCY TEST RESULTS!

 THEQueen35 - Thu Oct 29, 2009 3:59 pm

Hello! i would like to know if yeast infection medications, be them in cream or pill form, can effect the result of a pregnancy test?

User avatar Hello,The test is about human chorionic gonadotrophin. The chances of antifungals acting on the hormones are remote.Promethazine, and drugs that contain the hormone like profasi can cause false positive results. As far as I know there is no connection with antifungals and pregnancy tests.Do check with your kit if any interactions are mentioned.Ok?
