Psychogenic memory impairment
It is the loss of memory associated with a "traumatic" psychological event.
Can cause antero (near)/ retrograde (far) memory impairment. A block in time is removed leaving memory before and after intact. Emotionally enforced memories are often forgotten. Self may be denied and insight (the knowledge that one is psychologically ill) is absent
Unfortunately there is no drug cure for this disease ? some resolve spontaneously.
