User avatar Hi Emmalou,

It sounds as if you have a raging cold going on. There are a few things you can do to help. The safest is to try using a saline nasal spray to help wash out your nose.

Decongestants with pseudoephedrine are generally considered safe during pregnancy. Benadryl (diphenhydramine) is also safe.

Use caution when buying over-the-counter cold medicines because they generally have two, three or more medicines in them.

You can also ask the pharmacist at your local medication store to help find a medicine that is safe for you.

Best wishes. I hope you feel better soon.
