Forum Name: Headaches

Question: headaches

 maiden75 - Wed Jun 08, 2005 5:37 pm

I am diagnosed with migraines...I seem to get headaches before during and after my period, everyday and then they tend to go away for a couple of weeks. They feel like they are in my eyes and my neck/shoulders and sometimes I get nauseous/on and off vision blurs, but no this normal?? Tylenol usually does the trick. Hormones? I know when I was pregnant last year I didnt have headaches at all! Any advice on how to stop them? Thanks in advance!! You guys do us all a great service with your advice!

Quite a few women get migraines especially during their periods; I won't say this is 'normal' but these are present in many women. Medications are quite effective in ameliorating episodes of migraines but other factors that might help you are getting rid of alcohol, sunlight etc and trying to go off to sleep when you have an attack.
