Question: 5% meniscal tear in my knee

 rjex666 - Mon Jul 26, 2010 12:05 pm

Hi my question is this if I had a 5% meniscal tear in my knee would this be enough of a tear for surgery, or would more conservative treatment be the best course of action considering I have early onset arthritus in the same knee ?

User avatar Hello,

Conservative treatment would be best unless the knee in locking up or causing great pain...then consider arthoscopic surgery.

Take care.
