Question: Help - Pressure Sore
|gooch143 - Thu May 12, 2005 2:30 pm||
my 2 year old developed a pressure sore from a splint after just 3 days. It has healed....he is now 4 years old....but there is a lump now on his heel where the pressure sore was. Please help....what is it....and is it dangerous? I also attached pictures below

No, I don't think this is dangerous. This lump resulted from extensive fibrous tissue healing. It's obvious from the pictures that the sore was large and so resulted in this kind of healing.
As your child grows, it'll gradually shrink in size.
