Question: Xanax

 ccagle - Tue Nov 23, 2004 11:08 am

Can xanax cause liver damage or effect my liver function test?
Dr. Tamer Fouad - Tue Nov 23, 2004 7:21 pm

User avatar Alprazolam (xanax) is not reported to cause liver toxicity, however, the dose should be reduced by 50-60% in patients with liver impairment. It should be avoided in patients with liver cirrhosis.
