Question: Over use of vitamins

Mostafa El Awady - Wed Dec 15, 2004 2:41 pm

my problem is i don't eat much useful food so my body doesn't get all of its needs, my question is what if i replaced the natural useful food that i don't eat with vitamins, will this be harmful, i mean does the overuse of vitamins lead to harmful results with time.

Thanks

User avatar Dear Mostafa,

As you know, vitamins and minerals are important, but are only required in small amounts compared to other components of a diet, i.e. protein, carbohydrates, fats, fibre etc. Without these it is like making a piece of furniture with just the nails and screws, my friend.
