Question: polymyositis

 nifnif12 - Thu Apr 30, 2009 2:16 pm

Is there a link between polymyositis and vaccines and or mercury?
 Tom Plamondon PA-C - Sun May 17, 2009 9:24 pm

User avatar Hello,
From what I have read, I do not see any reports of a link between vaccines or mercury and the development of polymyositis.

Potential causes with juvenile polymyositis includes: auto immune response and infection causes.

There may be a genetic predisposition as well that may be elicited by environmental triggers.

Take care.
