 michigan - Wed Jan 04, 2006 2:54 am

Hi im 18 years old and im kinda worried about this tiny pea sized lump i woke up to, i can squeeze it and all, and it doesn't hurt what could this be. thanks

User avatar Hi michigan,
If the area feels like it's in the skin itself this may be related to an epidermoid cyst. If the area feels like it's deeper in the tissue it may be related to your thyroid. Regardless of the cause have the area evaluated by your physician and refrain from squeezing the area as this will cause increased irritation.
Sincerely,
Theresa Jones, RN
