Question: Ejaculation after Green Light Laser Surgery?

 b8tzm - Mon Jan 28, 2008 12:25 pm

I was taking Flomax and having ejactulation issues, then my Doctor switched me to Uroxatrol and I don't have that problem even after the TURP I had.

Will I have a problem with ejactulation after the Green Light Laser Surgery he wants me to have?

User avatar Hello B8tzm,

I'm not particularly familiar with the green light laser surgery; however, in general, ejaculation ability following prostate surgery is generally related to the amount of nerve damage done during the surgery. If the nerves are damaged too much, the ability to ejaculate may be compromised. Most laser surgeries are very precise so I suspect the risk is minimal.

Unfortunately, my knowledge of this subject is not sufficient to say with any authority about this, though. I would recommend you discuss this with your urologist before the procedure to be sure you have all the information you need.

Best wishes.
