Question: Urethral Sticture new treaments?

 sexyman - Tue Feb 17, 2009 8:45 pm

Are there any new treatments for urethral stricture besides Urethroplasty? Something that will break down the scar tissue without creating more scar tissue and not have so many risks and dangers?

User avatar Hello --

So far, urethroplasty is the best and safest approach to urethral stricture. There are surgical methods, but they are more invasive and often lead to recurrence of scarring. As of now there has been no medical therapy (no drug or topical substance) that has been approved for this purpose.

Hope this is helpful to you. Good luck.
