User avatar Hello,In a sexually active male nongonococcal urethritis and gonococcal urethritis need to be in cases of dysuria,ie pain during passing urine.
Also stone formation in the tract, prostatic disease, lower urinary tract infections are the other conditions which can cause a dysuria.
Simple tests like a urine examination, rectal examination to rule out a prostate, and tests like PCR on the secretions to rule out NGUs,culture tests to rule out bacterial infections may be required for diagnosis.
Best wishes.
